“Circular economy” is a production and consumption system which promotes the sustainable usage of resources, during closed cycles energized by renewable sources, regenerating the natural capital and assuring social development. The concept rejects the ongoing extraction, transformation, consumption and intensive disposal of natural resources, generating waste.
The consumption in closed cycles is only achievable if it is possible to safely return materials and products to the biosphere and techno sphere, without waste.
Currently, this idea is conquering more and more people, entities and companies, which are putting their expertise and abilities at the service of the environment, of other people and of the economy. With this theme we intend to strengthen its discussion, to inspire and promote change and to accelerate the transition to a “circular economy”.
